Traditional swords made in combination with modern knowledge have increased durability, sharpness and excellent craftsmanship. Functional katanas have the blade curved in the hilt, the saya is given a quality lacquer finish often with oriental ornaments, the tsuba an interesting design. Reliable carbon steels with proven properties are used.
