The DOVO classic razor is exceptional compared to various razor blades in that it has a perfect and rigid blade that is made of high quality steel. There is no rapid dulling of this blade and after a certain period of time, this blade can be revived with the help of abrasive paste and abrasive belt. The abrasive paste is applied to the abrasive (leather) belt, the razor blade is pressed against the belt and the razor is sharpened on both sides of the blade with quick strokes.  The razor is not made of stainless steel and must therefore be thoroughly cleaned and wiped dry after use. If the razor is stored for long periods of time when not in use, the blade should be lightly coated with oil.  The razor is very sharp and should be handled with care.
